MITCHELL, S.D. (Mitchell Now) — Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers has named a shoplifting case in Stickney as its Crime of the Week and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect.
According to Crime Stoppers, between 2:20 a.m. and 2:40 a.m. on July 23, a man was captured on surveillance video allegedly taking a small transfer fuel pump from an agricultural business located along U.S. Highway 281 in Stickney.
Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the individual shown in surveillance photos or who witnessed suspicious activity in the area during that time to come forward.

Crime Stoppers reminds the public that callers and online tipsters remain anonymous. Individuals whose information leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
