ORANGE CITY, IOWA — The DWU Tigers lost 54-7 to No. 3 Northwestern on Saturday on the road.

Quarterback Blake Fryer threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns on 13-of-17 passing for the Red Raiders

Northwestern’s defense held running back Jamin Arend to 28 yards on 16 carries. Kiel Nelson led the receiving attack for DWU with eight catches for 77 yards and the lone score of the game.

Nelson scored on a 27-yard connection from Austin Lee with 5:18 left in the second quarter.

Dakota Wesleyan is at home at Joe Quintal Field next week against No. 21 Dordt.
