Dakota Wesleyan Basketball heads to North Dakota on Wednesday to continue the GPAC season against Jamestown.

On the women’s side, Dakota Wesleyan comes in 3-1 overall after losing its first conference game of the season to Morningside on Saturday. Going against the No. 6 Mustangs, Dakota Wesleyan led throughout much of the contest before falling behind late.

“I thought we battled with them, from when the ball went up into the air to the end,” Tigers head coach Jason Christensen said.

Dakota Wesleyan started the game 0-for-8 from the field before battling back to tie the game at 18 apiece at the end of the first quarter

“You know, a lot of kids and teams, when you start 0-for-8, you just fold, and you get beat by 20 or 25,” Christensen said. “Our kids didn’t. We kept playing hard. We kept battling.”

Jamestown comes into tomorrow’s game 3-2 overall after winning its first three and losing its last two. The Jimmies return the top five scorers from last year in Kia Tower, Hannah DeMars, Audrey Rodakowski, Noelle Josephson and Macy Savela.
