Mitchell, S.D. – The Great Plains Athletic Conference released the 2022 preseason softball polls this morning with the Tigers projected to finish tied with Saint Mary for 11th among conference coaches.

Coach Lien and company closed the book on the 2021 season last year with records of 10-28 overall and 2-20 in conference action. With a full slate of games this spring, DWU softball looks to get back on track and finish in the top-8 for a spot in the GPAC playoffs that begin in early May.

The GPAC Postseason Tournament will feature two four-team tournaments (Seeds 1,4,5,8 and Seeds 2,3,6,7) (double elimination) on May 4-5 at the sites of the top two seeds. Then the two tournament winners will play on Saturday, May 7, in the GPAC Championship (three game series) at the highest remaining seed.

Points were awarded on an 11-1 basis and coaches could not vote for their own team and was completed prior to games being played.
