DWU Basketball
The No. 9/No. 2 seed Tiger women’s basketball team competed in the Fab Four of the 2026 NAIA Women’s Basketball National Tournament last night. That will unfortunately be where their season comes to an end as they were unable to get past Marion (IN) in the Semifinals to advance to the National Championship. They began the game trailing 15-6 after one and could never muster enough offense to gain the lead and ended up losing to the No. 4/No. 1 seed Knights, 62-54. Avery Broughton and Rylee Rosenquist led the scoring effort with 10 points each. The Tigers shot just 32.7% from the field and only 20% from beyond the arc. DWU ends their season as 2026 NAIA Championship Semifinalists and Great Plains Athletic Conference Champions and a 29-7 overall record.
