MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — Davison County property owners have until Oct. 31 to pay the second half of their property taxes, according to the county’s October tax notice.
Payments sent by mail must be postmarked by Oct. 31 and should include tax stubs, so payments are credited to the correct parcels. Payments can be mailed to the Davison County Treasurer’s Office, 200 E. Fourth Ave., Mitchell, SD 57301.
Property owners paying in person should bring their tax notices. The county also offers online credit card payments, which carry service fees.
The notice lists a monthly penalty of 0.833% for delinquent taxes. Property owners requesting a mailed receipt should include a stamped envelope with their payment.
