Active COVID-19 cases in South Dakota went down Saturday in the latest report and now stands at 1,871. The South Dakota Department of Health reported 137 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday and one new fatality from the virus as the state’s total case number reached 121,986. The death toll in the state from the virus is at 1,958 overall since the pandemic began. Meanwhile, 104 people are currently in the hospital due to COVID-19 while Davison County’s active case now stands at 41.
