Both the Dakota Wesleyan baseball and softball teams split their doubleheaders yesterday at Cadwell Park. The baseball team took the first game from Mount Marty 11-1 behind the complete game pitching of Ethan Davis. Drew DeMers of Winner went 5-for-5 at the plate and Cameron Quigley of Newcastle Wyoming went three for four with a homerun.
Mount Marty won game two 18-8. DeMers had two more hits including a homer in the second game. DWU will host Concordia in a doubleheader at Cadwell Park today. Due to possible rain later in the day, the games have been moved up to 11 AM.
The Lady Tigers softball team split its doubleheader on Senior Day against the College of St. Mary’s. St. Mary’s won the first game 10-8 with DWU getting their second GPAC win of the year with a 10-0 shutout in the second game. Megan Daffern pitched the shutout and had two RBIs in the win as did Haley Linke. The DWU Ladies also host Concordia today in the final games of the
season at 1:00pm at McWhirter Field.
