MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan University recognized one employee for retiring and a number of employees for their years of service to the institution during the annual Employee Recognition event held May 12, 2021.
Registrar and associate professor Jerry Luckett was recognized for retiring after 31 years of service to the university. Luckett assumed the role as university registrar in 2018. Prior to that appointment, Luckett was an associate professor for business administration and economics and still teaches part time. She has been involved as the secretary for the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Committee for more than 20 years and has received a PRCA Gold Card for her many years of service. She has volunteered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation for more than 20 years and is a timer for the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Luckett has been a business consultant and has owned her own businesses in the past. She earned a B.A. degree in business education from DWU and an M.A. degree in business education from Northern State University.
