Eileen died Monday, October 25 at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 1 at Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Howard.
Eileen was born on May 11, 1925 in Huron to Charles and Alma (Authier) Zieman. She was united in marriage to Bill Bockorny on December 2, 1944 in Woonsocket. The couple moved to Howard in 1947, where Eileen worked for several businesses throughout her working career.
Eileen was a very active member of St. Agatha Catholic Church in Howard, the Howard Golf Club, the senior citizen’s club, and the bridge club. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, bowling, reading, and playing cards.
Those grateful for sharing her life include her two sons, Gary Bockorny and Bob (Darla) Bockorny, both of Sioux Falls; two granddaughters, Jody and Tracy (Dan) Nelson of Sioux Falls; two grandsons, Stacy and Chad; one step-granddaughter, Lennea Solem; one step-grandson, Mark (Susan) Solem; great-grandson Luke Nelson (Dan & Tracy); and two step-great-granddaughters, Elle and Kora; two step-great-grandsons, Joshua and Andrew Solem.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Bob and Gil; one sister, MaryLee; and one daughter-in-law, Karen Bockorny.
