MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) One person was killed, and another was seriously injured after a deadly crash near Humboldt early Saturday morning. According to the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle was heading south on 457th Avenue around 1:30 a.m. when it blew through a stop sign at Highway 38 and hit a tree. The male driver died at the scene. A female passenger was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
