One person sustained minor injuries after a morning fire at a Mitchell motel.  Just after 7:30 AM, Mitchell firefighters responded to a call of a fire at the Corn Palace Inn.  When they arrived minutes later, they saw flames shooting from the building through a door.  The motel was evacuated, and the fire was extinguished fifteen minutes later without spreading to any adjacent rooms or structures.  The female occupant of the room in which the fire started suffered from smoke inhalation.  She sought medical treatment on her own after the incident.  Everything in the room was a total loss.  Firefighters were on the scene for nearly two hours.
