MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Rhoden has ordered flags lowered across the state in honor of the passing of Pope Francis. All flags at public buildings and grounds in the state will remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of the Pope’s interment. Pope Francis died of a stroke early Monday morning, according to The Vatican. He was 88 years old.
