(MITCHELLNOW) South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announced that Danielle Degenstein (Deegan-Steen), a former Department of Revenue employee, has been sentenced for not reporting a coworker’s fraudulent actions. Degenstein pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of Misprision of a Felony. She won’t serve jail time but was given one year of unsupervised probation, a $500 fine, and court costs. According to the investigation, Degenstein knew that a colleague had forged a power of attorney document for financial gain but failed to report it.
