Mitchell, S.D., April 11, 2025 – Individuals considering a run for public office or seeking a deeper understanding of the responsibilities and challenges of elected service are invited to attend the upcoming Candidate & Issue School Lunch and Learn, hosted by the Government Affairs Committee of the Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce.

This informative session will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Pratt Board Room at Dakota Wesleyan University’s School of Business, Innovation, and Leadership.

The event is free to attend and will feature a distinguished panel of experienced public officials who will share their personal insights and professional advice on campaigning, leadership, and community service:

Gary Drewes – Pennington County Commissioner

Theresa Kriese – Former President, Mitchell School Board

Lance Koth – Former District 20 State Representative

Tona Rozum – Former City Councilor and District 20 State Representative

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussion. While the event is free, boxed lunches will be available for purchase for $12, catered by Fresh Ideas.
