MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Senate committee hearing for Gov. Kristi Noem’s nomination to lead the Department of Homeland Security has been pushed back. It was originally set for Wednesday but will now happen tomorrow morning. Noem has completed her FBI background paperwork, but the FBI hasn’t finished its part yet, causing the delay. A similar thing happened with former North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum’s nomination for the Interior Department, paperwork delays also led to a shift in his hearing.
