MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Governor Larry Rhoden will announce his choice for Lieutenant Governor during a news conference today at 10 a.m. In his address to the state legislature yesterday, he outlined the qualities he seeks in a running mate: VERBATIM: “This individual must be loyal and honest – to me and to the people of South Dakota. My choice for Lieutenant Governor must share my commitment to keep South Dakota strong, safe, and free. He or she must be a strong partner who will provide me with wisdom, counsel, and help steer us in the right direction. And he or she must be ready to take over in the event I am no longer able to serve as Governor.” The announcement will be streamed live on South Dakota Public Broadcasting, online at SD dot net, and on the Governor’s Facebook page.
