South Dakota’s Governor's Office of Economic Development has once again earned national recognition, receiving the Silver Shovel Award from Area Development magazine for the third consecutive year.

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The Governor’s Office of Economic Development is being nationally recognized. For the third time in a row, the office is getting a Silver Shovel award from Area Development magazine. It’s an annual award that recognizes state economic development agencies that drive job creation. South Dakota is recognized for its innovative policies, infrastructure improvements, and its promotions that attract new employers and investments to the state.
