MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Cory Cumings, owner of Mitchell Roofing, was raided and arrested back in December of 2023.  Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms were the lead officers, among other law enforcement agencies, involved in the raid on Cumings’ home.  Three ounces of THC waxy residue and a scale with methamphetamine residue were found.

New federal court documents reveal that as a part of the raid law enforcement seized around 125 firearms, eight silencers and more than 10,000 rounds from Cumings’ home.  Under federal law, those arrested for drugs can have their guns temporarily removed pending outcome of legal proceedings with confiscation possible upon conviction.

Cumings also faces unrelated charges of DUI and stalking.  The stalking charges also include accusations that Cumings attempted to hire a hit man to kill a woman.

Cumings next trial date is scheduled for July 11th.
