Hanson’s boys edged Viborg-Hurley to win the Class B title in Rapid City over the weekend. Hanson ended up with 79 points to Viborg-Hurley’s 78. Colman-Egan’s girls won the Class B title.
The Mitchell boys and girls track teams finished 16th and 17th respectively at the 2021 Class AA Track and Field Meet held in Sturgis. Sioux Falls Lincoln won in Class AA boys, while Sioux Falls O’Gorman won on the girls side in Class AA. Mitchell’s Ryley Johansen placed 4th in the boys high jump. Mitchell’s team of Parker Phillips, Ryley Johansen, Treyson Schulz, and Lukas Bennett placed 4th in the 4X100 meter relay.
West Central won on the girls side in Class A, with Mt. Vernon/Plankinton finishing 3rd. Sioux Falls Christian’s boys took top honors at the Class A meet, which was held in Spearfish.
