United Way of Mitchell Board of Directors is pleased to announce Ashley Hobbs as their new Executive Director. She comes to United Way from the Safe Place of Eastern South Dakota Foundation. Hobbs will assume role mid-February.
Jayson Plamp, President of Mitchell United Way board, shared “We are very excited to have Ashley as our first full-time director. Through our search, Ashley’s experience in fundraising, community relations and marketing clearly shows the right choice to help grow the United Way’s impact on our community.”
Hobbs succeeds Dave Stevens who has been leading the organization part time for 15 years and recently announced his retirement. Stevens will assist in a transition over the next several months.
“I’m excited to build on the strong foundation of community support for Mitchell United Way. I look forward to bringing awareness to our community about the needs and resources our non-profits have.” Ashley states.
Hobbs is active in the Mitchell community including Mitchell Area Chamber-Mitchell Connect Committee, Junior Achievement, and Saint John Paul II Education Committee. She resides in Mitchell with her husband Kyle, and their three children: Nora, Sullivan and Cullen.
