MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) It appears President Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown is moving into South Dakota. There’s been a noticeable increase in immigration-related arrests over the past week. Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead confirms the number will continue to rise as the new administration prioritizes removing those who are in the country illegally. But the Sioux Falls Police Department says their officers have not been directly involved in any recent immigration arrests. KELO Land News reports at least six people were booked into the Minnehaha County jail on Tuesday and Wednesday, and being detained by ICE.
