The first “Stroll Sioux Falls” hiring event of the year is Thursday. It’s at the Department of Labor and Regulation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This month, the event is virtual. It’s free to both businesses and job seekers, but registration is required. Details are at www.DLR.SD.gov

Sioux Falls is considered the best city in the state for jobs in 2025. Finance website WalletHub ranked 182 cities to find the top job-market strength. It used indicators like job opportunities, employment growth, and average starting salaries. Sioux Falls is the best in South Dakota and 58th in the country, although it cracked the top 30 in the socio-economics category.
