Air travel out of the Sioux Falls Regional Airport is reaching new heights.  Airport Executive Director Dan Letellier says airport traffic has increased by 50-percent in the last ten years and nearly doubled in the last 15 years.

The airport’s newest addition – the 950-stall parking ramp – is already proving its worth.  It was completely full the day before Thanksgiving and has seen 80-90% occupancy on other days.

Letellier says the number of travelers is growing by about three percent a year.  He says it will take heavy investment to keep pace with the growth.
