South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson held a tele town hall on Thursday night where he took questions from constituents for around an hour.  One caller asked Johnson about potential Republican presidential nominees other than Donald Trump.

“I think Tim Scott is fantastic,” said Johnson.  “I think Nikki Haley was a really effective governor.  In fact, frankly a lot of these guys and gals who are running are pretty impressive.  And some of the ones who are thinking about running, whether it’s Kim Reynolds or Kristi Noem or, you know, a lot of these governors have worked pretty hard.  Ron DeSantis hasn’t announced yet, and he’s done some things that I don’t love.  But he is very popular in Florida because I think he’s been willing to roll up his sleeves.  But it’s hard to beat Tim Scott.”

Other topics addressed by Johnson included the growing relationship between China and Russia, the legalization of marijuana, the farm bill, and the debt ceiling bill.
