MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A former South Dakota state employee accused of stealing nearly two-million dollars is officially going to trial. The judge denied a motion in court on Monday to dismiss felony grand theft charges against Lonna Carroll. Carroll allegedly took the money over the course of 12 years while working for the Child Protective Services program. A pre-trial meeting will be held today. Carroll’s trial is set to start on April 1st.
