Kernels boys into state with win over Watertown

MITCHELL — The Mitchell Kernels boys basketball team defeated the Watertown Arrows 62-44 on Saturday in the Class AA SoDak 16.

Dylan Soulek led Mitchell with 16 points, 8 rebounds and five assists. Steele Morgan chipped in nine points and commanded the glass with 16 rebounds. Colton Smith added 14 points off the bench.

The Mitchell Kernels will face the Pierre Governors in the first round of the state AA boys basketball tournament at 8:45 p.m. Central in Rapid City on March 16
