(MITCHELLNOW) A $4.44 million renovation plan for Mitchell’s Lakeview Golf Course has been approved by the city’s Golf and Cemetery Board, with hopes it will be included in the 2026 city budget. The plan includes major upgrades like rebuilding hole No. 14, a new par-3 short course, and other improvements. Phase 3 alone carries a $1.32 million price tag, partially funded through $250,000 in private pledges, with more fundraising planned. Additional upgrades to the golf course total over $500,000 in capital requests. If approved, construction could begin in 2027 with a projected opening in 2028.
