MITCHELL S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A lawsuit filed in March by Travelers United over Governor Noem’s social media endorsement of a Texas dentist who did some work on her smile was dismissed by a judge recently over a procedural matter.  Noem’s attorneys alleged that the Governor was not properly served the papers informing her of the legal matter.

Travelers United say that Noem was properly served on April 5, 2024.  The processor server alleges that she (the process server) felt threatened by Noem’s staff and that Noem herself was hostile.  Governor Noem denies the allegations of intimidation and hostility.  Noem describes Travelers United as a fake watchdog group filing frivolous claims in an attempt to smear her.

Noem says she never received any financial compensation for her social media praise for the Texas dentist.  The Governor says she was merely a satisfied client who wanted to express appreciation for a professional job well done.
