MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Incumbent Kevin McCardle has turned in a petition to run for re-election to the Mitchell City Council in Ward 2. McCardle has served on the city council since 2017. He currently does not have a challenger. Sarah Deakins will run for the seat in Ward 1 currently held by Dan Sabers. It is not known whether Sabers will run for re-election. Ward 4 incumbent Jeff Smith will face Don Everson, and Mayor Bob Everson has a challenger in Jordan Hanson. Petitions for city races are available at the City Finance Office at City Hall in downtown Mitchell. The city/school board election is scheduled for June 4th.
