Court documents say a man charged with triple-murder in Milbank told the Milbank Police Chief that he snapped when he killed his victims. 57-year old Brent Hanson is charged with three counts of first degree murder and three alternative counts of second degree murder in the deaths of his brother, Clyde Hanson, and his pregnant sister-in-law, Jessica Hanson. The three lived together, with Brent Hanson residing in a basement apartment, and the couple living in an upstairs apartment. Brent Hanson says he fatally assaulted Clyde Hanson with a baseball bat on December 12th and then killed Jessica Hanson with a machete on the following morning. The bodies were left in the upstairs apartment. Brent Hanson then took the couple’s three-year old child to his downstairs apartment. Brent Hanson and the couple had been having recent domestic issues. Bond has been set at $5 million for Brent Hanson.
