MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — The Mitchell Street Department is nearing the finish line on its chip sealing project for this summer.
Coming up on Monday, much of the work will be taking place far from downtown and the central neighborhoods, closer to the edge of town. Crews will be touching up the following roads:
• 100 and 200 blocks of South Mattie Street
• 1800 block of Quiett Lane
• 400 and 500 blocks of Charles Street
• 1600 and 1700 blocks of Charles Avenue
• 100 through 900 blocks of East 2nd Avenue
• 700 through 1000 blocks of East 8th Avenue
• 1200 and 1300 blocks of Summit Road
• 1400 block of Northridge Road
• 1500 block of Ridge Lane
• 700 block of North Kittridge Street
• 2700 and 2800 blocks of South Mentzer Court
• The western half of the City Hall parking lot
Anyone living along the affected roads needs to have their cars off the street by 7 a.m. on Monday. The city is also asking for automatic sprinkler systems to be turned off and that sump pump hoses are pulled back from the gutter.
