The Mitchell City Council meets tonight at 6 PM at City Hall in downtown Mitchell. Prior to the council meeting, Mitchell Mayor Bob Everson says the council will receive an update on Lake Mitchell from Barr Engineering. The mayor says they should have a better idea of the cost of project and adds that there will be some surprises as to how the firm proposes to dredge the lake, which has been plagued by high algae and phosphorus levels for many years.
Tonight’s Mitchell City Council meeting is scheduled for 6 PM, and the Lake Mitchell presentation is set for 5:30 PM. Both are open to the public, will be streamed online, and televised locally.
