The Mitchell City Council this evening will reconsider the taxicab application from Speedy Taxi. The company’s license was denied last June due to complaints about the company, its business practices, and its owner, Dustin Feistner. Feistner, who spent time in prison and whose criminal background includes leading officers on two vehicle pursuits, illegally possessing a firearm, and running Speedy Taxi without a license, submitted a letter with his current application stating he had completed parole with no violations.
The council will also hear on second reading an ordinance to rezone the city-owned “Kelley Property” at Lake Mitchell from Davison County Agriculture to City of Mitchell Urban Development.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6 PM at City Hall in downtown Mitchell. It is open to the public, is streamed online, and is televised locally.
