(MITCHELLNOW) At its regular meeting today, the Mitchell City Council will consider several key items, including the first readings of ordinances on mayor and city council term limits and a rental inspection program. The council will also review $2.5 million in city expenditures, which is part of $22.4 million in open contracts, including major payments for the South Wastewater Treatment Plant and a large storage tank project south of town. Other agenda items include new vehicles for the police department, funding for city infrastructure and engineering services, and the council will also meet as the Board of Adjustment to review several local zoning and permit requests.
