The Mitchell Kernel girls’ golf team gave Sioux Falls O’Gorman a good battle Thursday, but settled for second place at the Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.
The Kernels shot a 325 as team, while the Knights were the team champion with a 320. Harrisburg finished in 3rd place on the day, shooting a 329.
Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa was the individual champion at the invite with a round of 70, with Mitchell’s Macy Mock close behind at 74 in second place.
The Kernel girls’ golf team takes on Yankton and Sioux Falls O’Gorman at the Hillcrest Golf Club in Yankton Friday.
