The Mitchell girls’ golf team kept their solid start to their season going with another win at the Yankton Fox Run Golf Course Tuesday. The lady Kernels posted a 329 on the day, topping Yankton by 38 strokes, while Sioux Falls Lincoln finished 3rd with a 393.
Mitchell recorded six birdies and shot for par forty times among eight golfers in the tournament, while Macy Mock had a big day for the Kernels. The senior won the individual championship with a 5-over par 77, shooting par or better on 12 of 18 holes and didn’t score anything worse than a bogey on the day.
Mitchell is back on the course Friday morning at 11am when they take on Yankton in the Marchand Cup at Hillcrest Golf Club.
