MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) — A 42-year-old Mitchell man is facing multiple felony charges in a case involving a juvenile, according to Davison County court records.
Shawn Stemper is charged with fourth-degree rape, sexual contact with a child under 16 and solicitation of a minor, court documents show.
Investigators allege the case involves text messages and arranged meetings, according to documents summarized in reporting by the Mitchell Republic.
Stemper is being held in the Davison County Jail on a $10,000 cash-only bond and appeared in court earlier this month, the records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
