MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) A 65-year-old Mitchell man is facing serious charges after multiple juveniles accused him of sexual abuse over several years. Curtis Buchholz Sr. was arrested and pleaded not guilty in court on Aug. 27. He’s charged with three felony counts of sexual contact with a child under 16, each carrying up to 15 years in prison. The first report surfaced in 2023, and two more juveniles later came forward with similar claims. In a recent interview, Buchholz admitted to some inappropriate touching but denied most of the allegations. His trial is set for December.
