MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) Caleb White, of Mitchell, has pleaded not guilty to a Class 3 felony charge of abuse and cruelty to a minor following a reported domestic incident involving a 2-year-old. The charges stem from an October 2024 incident, with police reports citing photos showing a handprint and bite marks on the child. White reportedly admitted to hitting and biting the child during a March interview, referring to it as a “butt whooping.” His jury trial is set for August.
