A Mitchell man who shot and wounded two people, shot at a police officer, and led authorities on a high-speed chase in December has pleaded guilty to two counts.
In a plea agreement, 21-year old Connor Hoy will plead guilty to one count of aggravated assault (domestic) and one count of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer. A dozen other charges were dropped.
In the early morning hours of December 20th, officers were dispatched to a residence on the 700 block of South Rowley Street. Hoy, who was intoxicated, had shot and wounded two people. He then fired at police officers, led police on a pursuit in which he drove into and damaged patrol vehicles, and stopped his vehicle to once again fire at officers.
Hoy faces up to 40 years in prison on the charges.
