Mitchell Mayor Bob Everson has proclaimed Thursday, July 1st as Jack Theeler Day. Theeler is being honored for his continuing excellent legal representation to the people of South Dakota for the past 50 years. An open house is being held Thursday, July 1st at The Lakehouse Restaurant from 4-7 pm. The celebration is open to the public. Mitchell Mayor Bob Everson will be reading a proclamation proclaiming Thursday, July 1 as Jack Theeler Day in Mitchell.
JACK THEELER is a South Dakota native who earned undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Dakota (1971) where he graduated magna cum laude and served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Dakota Law Review. He served as Chairman of the South Dakota Lottery Commission from 1986 to 1992.
In addition to being admitted to practice in the State of South Dakota, Jack is admitted to the US District Court for the District of South Dakota. He is an associate in the America Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, the American Bar Association and the South Dakota State Bar.
Jack plans to continue in the practice of law, focusing on the areas of insurance litigation, construction litigation and arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, personal injury and business litigation, estate planning, trust administration and probate.
