It’s a busy agenda today for the Mitchell Planning Commission, which will consider variances for two medical marijuana dispensaries as well as a conditional use permit for a third.

The variances would be for FSST Pharms, doing business as Native Nations Cannabis, for a dispensary located at 1620 South Burr Street, and DLJ LLC, which would be located at 501 East Juniper Avenue. The two dispensaries would be within 1,000 feet of each other, which is not in accordance with the city ordinance. Additionally, FSST is requesting the commission waive the buffer distance between its proposed location and Mitchell Technical College.

Genesis Farms LLC is applying for a conditional use permit for its proposed location at 106 West 5th Avenue because it is within 300 feet of two churches.

The commission will also consider approval of Plains Commerce Bank’s plan for development at the corner of Havens and Burr.

Today’s Mitchell Planning Commission meeting begins at noon at City Hall in downtown Mitchell. It is open to the public and is streamed online.  The agenda can be found here: https://www.cityofmitchell.org/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_01102022-1041?html=true.
