MITCHELL, SD (Mitchell Now) On October 8, 2026, the Mitchell Police Department became aware of a video
posted to Facebook depicting suspected animal cruelty. Officers responded and
promptly took a report regarding the incident.
Following an initial review of the report and investigation, it was determined that
the investigation would be referred to an outside agency and the Davison County
State’s Attorney.
No further information will be released at this time.
