A 19-year old male and a juvenile male were taken into custody following a stabbing on Thursday night near downtown Mitchell.  At around 5:15 PM, Mitchell dispatch received a 911 call reporting an assault in the 200 block of West 4th Avenue.  The caller said a male victim had been stabbed.  Mitchell police, Mitchell EMS, and Davison County authorities arrived on the scene and found that a second male had also been stabbed.  The victims were ages 20 and 28.  They lived at the residence.  They were taken to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital for treatment.  One of the victims was admitted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The other victim was treated and released.  An investigation determined that 19-year old Dario Alonso Cordero and a juvenile male had gone to the residence to confront and assault a juvenile male who was involved in another incident earlier that day.  Cordero was charged with two counts of aiding and abetting aggravated assault.  He faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a $30,000 fine upon conviction.  The juvenile suspect was detained.  His case will be handled through the juvenile justice system.
