Mitchell police and Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help.  There have been street and traffic sign thefts in Mitchell. Recently a pedestrian/bike sign from the West End Bridge area on Lake Mitchell and a T-intersection pre-warning sign from the 700 block of North Lytle were stolen. The theft of traffic signs has been an ongoing problem in the Mitchell area for the past year. The theft of these signs has the potential to lead to serious traffic accidents.

Remember that you do not have to identify yourself, and a cash reward is available if it leads to the arrest of the subject or subjects involved.
