MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) At its Monday meeting, the Mitchell school board heard plans for the migration to the new high school building on Capital Street, set to open before next school year. Mitchell Superintendent, Joe Childs, says the district will take a careful look at every item that could potentially be utilized in the new facility. Childs said the move will require several steps, including taking inventory of equipment and materials in storage at the high school building, determining which of those materials will be of value in the new building and then seeing that those valued materials are moved over in time for the 2025-26 school year.
