MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The city of Mitchell has sold the last mobile home at its city-owned park. Wednesday’s auction included one mobile home and one house on East First Avenue, but only the mobile home drew a bid. The Mitchell Republic reports local resident Dan Ries purchased the three-bedroom trailer for one hundred dollars and plans to move it to his Phoenix Community mobile home park. He has until November first to remove the trailer, or he’ll face a two-hundred-dollar daily fine. If it’s not moved by December first, the city will demolish it. The sale brings total city auction proceeds to four hundred fifty-two dollars. For more Government stories from MitchellNow.com, Click Here.
