Mitchell tied a high temperature record over the weekend. On Saturday, the thermometer reached 101 degrees to tie the record set back in 1933. That was 23 degrees above the normal high temperature for June 5th of 78 degrees. Yesterday, Mitchell came one degree shy of tying the record of 97, which was also set in 1933. Yesterday’s high temp was 18 degrees above the normal high temperature of 78 for June 6th. Highs are expected to remain in the mid to upper-90s for most of this week.
