Mitchell’s Starlite Drive-In Theater will not open for the 2023 summer season. In a Facebook post, it was stated that after peak attendance levels in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, the drive-in did not meet its expenses in 2021 or 2022. The post also said that studio requirements prevent the drive-in from being able to work many new releases into its summer schedule.
